The aim of this initiative is to cater specifically to the older residents of the state who choose to embark on a Tirth yatra at this point in their lives. The government will provide a grant to elderly people who intend to go on a Tirth yatra across Gujarat. The state government launched this yojana for senior citizens who want to go on a tirth yatra. Regardless of community, one must be an elderly Gujarati citizen in order to benefit from this scheme.

Senior people may now take advantage of government subsidies to visit all of the state’s well known sacred places due to the Gujarat Shravan Tirthdarshan Yojana. The state government will cover 50% of the cost of within state travel expenditures by non-AC State transport bus under this plan. The financial aid will only be given for the Gujarati tirth yatra. This plan does not apply to locations outside of Gujarat.

Objective of Gujarat Shravan Tirthdarshan Yojana

The main objective of this yojana is to offer financial assistance to all elderly Gujarati residents who choose to participate in a tirth yatra within their own state. The state government will pay for half of the cost of the trip. The aim is to boost tourism inside the state. The infrastructure and cultural legacy of Gujarat will both improve as tourism related activities rise there.

Registration Procedure of Gujarat Shravan Tirthdarshan Yojana
